Sunrise Senior Living:

Faraway Sun drips cold

Finicky leafless twigs
branch against syrup blue.

Let whatever gods be thanked for these small accidents.
Perhaps it's the surprise that comes when we turn the corner and discover that these shy, cautious, not yet budding twigs have leapt suddenly to life with the active verb ("branch") suggesting growth while strictly denoting merely the division and forking... in any case, very nice.
