On a barge in the dark the temporary vicar directs prayers
invented fervours
arch parole in egg light
THE SHIVERS says Jesus is giving the shakes
I don't feel a thing
but want to be in it
Outside the cold hasn't come so
the obscene green leaves creak
A broken panel above
the worn blue nylon
through to yellowed gloss
"I don't feel a thing
ReplyDeletebut want to be in it"
this is familiar to me, as well.
For me growing up in a faith and then finding yourself thrown to the periphery when a moment's sold as an event: not the best.
ReplyDeletecaged and discarded feeling that wore away as i realized it was never meant for me, painful years. not the best, I agree but for me, made the best possible.
Deletelove this one.
